Production Supervisor

Location: Leicestershire
Salary: £30,000–£35,000 per annum, plus performance bonus linked to increased output
Hours: 38.5 hours per week
Working pattern: Monday to Thursday, 8:00am–5:00pm; Friday, 8:00am–1:30pm

The Role

We’re recruiting a driven Production Supervisor to join an established manufacturer in Leicestershire. This is a hands-on role for someone who can lead from the front, motivate a production team and get the best out of people.

You’ll oversee day-to-day production, help keep output on track and maintain a positive, accountable working environment. The role would suit an experienced supervisor who can step in and make an impact, though a strong candidate ready to take the next step may also be considered.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily production activity and help ensure output targets are achieved.

• Lead, motivate and support the production team, setting clear expectations and encouraging strong performance.

• Get the best out of people through effective communication, coaching and day-to-day leadership.

• Monitor production performance and identify opportunities to improve output and efficiency.

• Manage overtime requirements to support production demand, including being willing to work overtime when needed.

• Maintain a safe, organised and productive working environment.

• Work closely with the wider team to resolve production issues and keep work moving.

About You

• Experience supervising or leading a team in a production or manufacturing environment

• Someone open to stepping up in their role

• Packaging industry experience would be beneficial.

• A driven, proactive approach and the confidence to take ownership of production performance.

• Strong people skills, with the ability to motivate a team and gain their respect.

• Able to manage priorities, respond to changing production needs and support overtime when required.

• A practical, hands-on approach and a focus on achieving results.
